Danish Royals Nikolai and Felix Vacation in Mykonos

Nikolai and Felix, grandsons of former Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and nephews of Princess Anna Maria, spent their summer holiday in Mykonos, Greece, with their mother, Countess Alexandra.

Felix, the younger son of Prince Joachim, turned 24 while the family was on the island. His older brother Nikolai, who works internationally as a model, shared photos from the trip on Instagram, writing that it was a little recap from Greece and that he hoped followers were enjoying the summer. The pictures showed boat trips, local food, and scenes from Little Venice and the island's windmills. Countess Alexandra also posted images from the holiday, captioning them with a reference to Greece at sunset.

Background on the stripped titles

In 2022, Queen Margrethe removed the prince and princess titles from Joachim's four children. The palace said the change was meant to let the grandchildren shape their lives with more freedom, away from the obligations expected of crown family members. Since then, Joachim's children have held only the titles of count and countess of Monpezat. The decision drew strong public objections at the time from both Alexandra and Joachim. Despite that tension, the family has stayed in touch, and Anna Maria remains close to her sister Margrethe and their Danish relatives.
