Ukrainian singer, model and presenter Dasha Astafieva has sharply criticized her show business colleagues for their behavior and position during the war. Speaking in an interview for the Goncharova podcast channel, Astafieva said several public figures care more about social events than supporting the military or public issues.
Astafieva explained that supporting military and social projects became a natural part of her life long ago. She said she finds it difficult to understand why not all public figures have taken a clear civic stance after years of full scale war. She emphasized that she expects any artist she likes to hold a firm civic position today.
Fundraising and Broken Relationships
The presenter outlined her daily routine of posting fundraising requests on social media and asking followers in subsequent stories to donate. She said public figures often forget that social networks are platforms to earn money, present themselves, set an example, and organize collections. She warned that society will drown in new music videos and shows if celebrities fail to support fundraisers or promote key events.
Astafieva added that she no longer maintains contact with most of her former friends, stating she stopped speaking to 90 percent of her social circle. She described those former friends as degenerates without naming them individually, adding that she now only interacts with people who share her path and understand the daily support needed for the future. News agency UNIAN previously reported on Astafieva responding to secret wedding rumors and discussing children.
