Deborah Knight constantly checked her very low-cut gown to avoid a wardrobe malfunction at the 2026 Logie Awards at The Star in Sydney on Sunday evening.

Deborah Knight almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction in her very low-cut dress  at the 2026 Logie Awards in Sydney on Sunday night

The 53-year-old television presenter had appeared confident when she posed for Instagram photos moments before arriving at the ceremony. But once on the red carpet, she seemed concerned with her strapless champagne-coloured dress, which sat perilously low on her bust.

At times, Deborah was seen looking down and checking on it as she posed for photos on the red carpet

Knight was seen looking down and adjusting the garment as she posed for photographers. She completed her look with Jacquemus earrings, a cuff, and a jade-coloured Cult Gaia clutch. The presenter wore her cropped blonde hair in a quiff style.

Return to television

Knight stepped away from her role on radio station 2GB's Money News last year to return to a full-time television position at the Nine Network. She now presents the national 9News Morning bulletin at 11:30am on weekdays, the 9News Afternoon bulletin in Sydney, and hosts A Current Affair on Saturday nights.

"I'm incredibly excited to be stepping back into a full-time television role with 9News and Current Affairs," Knight said in a statement at the time of her return. "It's a fantastic opportunity to be part of the daily news cycle and connect with viewers during these important bulletins."

She added: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in radio, particularly hosting Money News, and I'm grateful for the wonderful listeners who tuned in. I'm also very pleased to continue hosting A Current Affair on Saturday nights."

Knight first joined the 2GB afternoon program in 2020 on a reported $600,000 salary. She was moved off the role in late 2023 due to disappointing ratings, a decision the broadcaster was said to be "shattered" by. She quickly bounced back, taking over Money News in November 2023 in a revamped 7pm to 8pm slot.

Other red carpet looks

Several other stars chose plunging gowns for the awards ceremony. Carrie Bickmore made a dramatic entrance in a daring animal print dress by Alex Perry.

Sonia Kruger showcased an eye-popping amount of cleavage in a bronze Leah Da Gloria gown that featured a fringed skirt and draped detailing. Elsewhere, Samantha Armytage swapped her usually conservative aesthetic for a maroon sequinned jumpsuit with a plunging halter neckline.
