Director Anton Maslov and blogger Dmitry Zhuravlev, star of the film "The Last Warrior: Kolobok," mocked a Moscow electrician named Vladimir after he criticized their movie, according to the Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Novosti.
In early August, Zhuravlev posted about the film's production. In the comments, Vladimir asked why Kolobok looked so poorly drawn in the trailer, noting Russia has the technology and specialists to do better. He asked why Soviet cartoons were enjoyable to watch while adaptations often fail, frequently because of the graphics.

Maslov found Vladimir's personal Telegram channel, saw he worked as an electrician, and began criticizing his work using profanity. Zhuravlev joined in, joking that Vladimir was only capable of installing electrical outlets and could never come up with anything new.
Speaking to Ostorozhno, Novosti, Vladimir said he was not offended, suggesting the pair may have been tired or angry and that there was no point paying attention to it. He said he understood what they meant and it did not affect him, though he added he would not be watching Kolobok in theaters.
"The Last Warrior: Kolobok" opens in Russian theaters on August 6. The film has earned 3.6 million rubles in advance ticket sales.
