Disney+ has unveiled the first official images for the sixth season of Only Murders in the Building, which will premiere on December 8 as the mystery series moves to London.
The new season leaves behind the Manhattan skyscrapers of the Arconia for the streets of the British capital, taking investigators across Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Bond Street.
Oscar winner Olivia Colman has joined the main cast for season six alongside Scottish actor David Tennant, starring opposite lead actors Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez.
First published by Deadline, the promotional images offer a look at the relocated trio following events in the eighth episode of season five, where a death outside the Arconia shifted the plot to the United Kingdom.

Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery comedy series following three residential neighbors who launch a true crime podcast after deaths occur in their Manhattan apartment building. Colman won an Academy Award for her performance in The Favourite, while Tennant is widely recognized for his leading role in Doctor Who.
Disney+ considers free tier
Alongside the premiere announcement, Disney chief executive officer Josh D'Amaro confirmed that the company is exploring a free account option for Disney+ to attract new subscribers.
D'Amaro said the goal of the potential free tier is to serve as a gateway to the platform, giving non-subscribers a chance to preview the catalog before upgrading to a paid subscription.
The streaming platform holds a major competitive advantage through its extensive content library, which features major entertainment franchises from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, FOX, and Disney.
While Disney has not set a release date or finalized a concrete proposal, executives are evaluating several access formulas that would not require a paid monthly subscription.
One option gaining momentum within the company is the addition of FAST channels, which offer free content supported by advertising.

FAST channels, short for Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television, deliver scheduled programming with advertisement breaks similar to traditional television. Competitors such as Amazon's Prime Video already utilize the model, while Spanish provider Movistar Plus offers a comparable rotating access structure.
Under the proposed Disney+ model, free users could access a limited selection of movies and television series, view pilot episodes, or watch content that rotates periodically.
TikTok partnership and global expansion
Disney is also launching a new partnership with social video platform TikTok that will allow creators to produce videos featuring characters from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and other Disney properties.
The initiative will begin as a pilot program in the United States, with potential expansion to additional global markets if the initial launch proves successful.
TikTok, owned by ByteDance, is one of the world's most popular short-form video platforms, featuring hundreds of millions of active creators globally.
