Singer Dua Lipa arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City on Friday ahead of her 31st birthday celebrations on Saturday.
The pop star looked effortlessly chic as she touched down carrying a large £6,000 Chanel bucket bag. She wore blue jeans, a white T-shirt, statement black sunglasses and a navy cardigan to achieve a riviera chic aesthetic.

Dua Lipa is a British singer and songwriter known globally for hit pop music. John F. Kennedy International Airport, commonly known as JFK Airport, serves as a primary international gateway into New York City.
Chanel bucket bag and designer debut
The statement accessory carried by the singer forms part of Chanel's Cruise 2027 collection. The collection was unveiled in Biarritz, France, in front of a star-studded audience.

Biarritz is a seaside resort town situated on the Basque coast in southwestern France. Chanel is a famous French luxury fashion house founded in Paris.
The Cruise 2027 showcase is considered the first Cruise collection for Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy. Blazy previously served as creative director of Italian luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta from 2021 to 2024 before joining Chanel in December 2024.

Highlighting the singer's close attachment to the brand, her stylist Lorenzo Posocco praised the designer's new direction during an interview in June.
Posocco said: "One of the most exciting debuts was Matthieu Blazy for Chanel..."

Posocco added: "We love Matthieu. I loved his vision at Bottega Veneta and now he's breathing fresh air into Chanel which was needed."
Family birthday tributes on Instagram

Her mother Anesa, 54, led the family messages by posting a previously unseen wedding photograph on Instagram. In the picture, Dua wore a sparkly silver minidress with a bridal veil at one of her wedding celebrations, while Anesa wore a black dress paired with black cowboy boots.
Writing on Instagram, Anesa expressed her pride: "Happy birthday Dua!! ❤️✨❤️✨❤️ I am so proud of the person you are and everything you've become. Dukagjin added: "May the hand of God be between you and the harms way May the love you give to all of us be the shield that keeps you safe and happy."

Marriage to Callum Turner and family plans
The birthday arrival follows recent comments from Dua Lipa's husband, actor Callum Turner, regarding their future family plans.
Turner tied the knot with the singer at London's Old Marylebone Town Hall earlier this summer. Old Marylebone Town Hall is a historic registry office in central London known for hosting celebrity marriages.

Following their legal ceremony in London, the couple hosted a lavish three-day destination wedding celebration in Palermo, Sicily. The Italian celebration featured a private performance by Sir Elton John.
Palermo is the historic capital city of the Italian island of Sicily. In an interview with Esquire UK, Turner spoke about their life together when asked if starting a family was a priority for his next decade.
The 36-year-old actor said: "Obviously, yeah, I'm 36. I'd like to have a family and raise some kids."
Reflecting on their wedding day, Turner added: "It was amazing… It was the most beautiful day of my life."
Turner said: "It's nice to find someone that you love and who loves you and you want to be around all the time."
Thoughts on children and Italian honeymoon
Dua Lipa has also previously shared her own thoughts on motherhood during an interview with British Vogue.
The singer said: "I'd love to have kids one day. But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time - how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take. I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children."
The couple recently returned from a romantic honeymoon across Italy, which the singer described as "heaven on earth."
Their honeymoon journey included traveling along the Amalfi coast before visiting historic sites in Rome.
While in Rome, the couple joined tourists and paid for a pair of tickets to capture a photo beside the Trevi Fountain, an 18th-century landmark fountain in the Italian capital.
Their Italian itinerary also included a stop in Naples and a stay in Taormina on the island of Sicily.
In Taormina, they checked into the San Domenico Palace, a luxury hotel made famous as the filming location for the second season of the television series The White Lotus.
