The Rivals star, 36, will hold a second, more lavish celebration in Spain in two weeks' time, she revealed in the same post confirming she had tied the knot.

Atack wore a £2,325 Josephine Scott dress, the label's Juliette gown, featuring a plunging neckline, lace detailing on the sleeves and shoulder pads, paired with a floor-length veil and a diamond-encrusted headband as she emerged from a church hand in hand with her new husband.

She looked gorgeous in the white dress which had a cut-out section and button detailing

Garner, a scientist, wore a black suit and brown shoes for the occasion. The couple enjoyed a glass of fizz outside the church before travelling to their wedding breakfast in a vintage silver car.

The celebration continued at the couple's "dream" countryside home in Bedfordshire, where a McDonald's van handed out McFlurry ice creams to guests.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Atack wrote: "Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends. It was absolutely perfect. I can't believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time. Christ, we have fun don't we @dralistairgarner."

Friends rushed to congratulate the couple in the comments. Author Elizabeth Day wrote: "Stunning. So so happy for you both! Congratulations," while Will Manning added: "go on!!! congratulations."

Engagement and son Barney

Atack, best known for playing Charlotte "Big Jugs" Hunter in Channel 4's The Inbetweeners and for her recent role in the drama Rivals, is a mother of one. She and Garner, 40, share a two-year-old son, Barney.

Emily and Alistair are getting married again in Spain in September

The couple got engaged in July 2025, having welcomed Barney the year before. Atack's mother previously let slip that her daughter would marry this year, joking that Kim Kardashian's Met Gala look would be her dream "mother-of-the-bride" outfit.

Back in June, Emily joked that she'd had 'enough rosé to last a lifetime' as she posed in a bikini and a veil in fun-filled snaps from her Cannes hen weekend

Plans for a second wedding in Spain

Earlier this year, Atack described her upcoming second wedding as a "fat, f*** off party," telling Luxury London Magazine: "I think I've nailed it. We're getting married in September. I've very much enjoyed the planning process. Choosing napkins and stuff. I'm like, 'My God, my life is here!'"

Inspired by the 1980s fashion on Rivals, Atack said she was pushing the boat out for a "big" wedding dress. She told Grazia magazine: "Since Rivals, in terms of fashion, I tend to go quite big now generally."

After months of speculation, Atack confirmed she would marry Garner "abroad," thought to be somewhere in Spain. "Life is good. It doesn't get much better than where I am now," she said.

Last year, it was reported that the couple had been considering wedding venues in Spain. An insider told The Sun On Sunday: "Emily has been going to Spain with her family on holiday ever since she was a child and loves the idea of getting married there. She and Alistair adore the stunning countryside there, and guaranteed sun is a bonus."

Atack has said: "I loved my family holidays there when I was growing up. We had a property there and my dad sold it a couple of years ago, but it's our favourite place and we still go every year, and stay in a hotel."

In June, Atack celebrated her hen do in Cannes, posing in a white bikini and cover-up by Agent Provocateur with a novelty veil. She joked she'd had "enough rosé to last a lifetime" after her group of friends got through countless bottles of Lady A rosé alongside an elaborate spread of food.

She also posed in a black two-piece before topping up her tan. "The most insanely perfect few days. Pure joy from start to finish and enough @drinkladya to last us a lifetime," she wrote on Instagram. "I thoroughly recommend having a hen do, even if you aren't getting married btw. It's the most fun you'll ever have losing all of your belongings."

No children allowed at Spanish wedding

Atack has banned children from attending her second wedding, a three-day celebration in Andalusia, Spain, despite being a mother herself.

Speaking on The Romesh Ranganathan Show podcast, she said: "We're being kind to our friends and making sure that people don't have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding, no children."

She added: "I'm surprised by how many people are happy about that. I thought I'd get a lot of people kicking off, but they're like no, 'f*** those kids'."
