The 78th Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, September 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with actress Mariska Hargitay hosting the ceremony honoring the best in American television. Coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. Peru time, and the awards ceremony itself starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Emmy Awards, handed out by the Television Academy of the United States, recognize the top achievements across series, miniseries and television films of the past year.
Hargitay is best known for her role in the long-running and award-winning series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The American actress and producer will become the first woman to host the Emmy Awards solo in the last 15 years.
Where to watch the 78th Emmy Awards
The broadcast of the Emmy 2026 ceremony starts at 6:00 p.m. with celebrities arriving on the red carpet. Coverage can be followed on TNT, available on channels 1502 HD and 502 on DIRECTV, as well as through the DGO streaming platform. An hour later, at 7:00 p.m., the awards ceremony begins on the same channel.

The Bear
The Bear follows Carmy Berzatto, a fine-dining chef who returns to his native Chicago to save his family's near-bankrupt restaurant after the tragic death of his older brother.
