On February 11, Johnny López, Jenni Rivera’s youngest son, celebrates his 22nd birthday with a reflection on life in which he shared that his mother he considered aborting itbecause his career had taken off.
With a series of photos from his childhood, Juan Ángel told how the idea of the “Big Lady” to get rid of the baby faded.
“A little over 22 years ago, after years of struggling to become a successful recording artist, my mom had her first radio hit with ‘Las Malandrinas’. Finally, after so many years of hard work, it seemed that Jenni Rivera was going to That’s when God decided that I, an aquarium, would ‘fall’ into my mother’s womb,” reads the first paragraph of his message.
Jenni Rivera considered terminating the pregnancy
People close to “La Diva de la Banda” made her see “that it wasn’t time to have another child”because her career was starting to take off and there finally seemed to be a musical future for her, ‘at the time he thought about firing me“.
However, something happened at a medical checkup that made her change her mind.
“When my mom went to the clinic, for some strange reason the doctor didn’t find me. My mom thought it was the craziest thing. Later, when I was ten years old, he told me I thought I hid because I didn’t want to die. Then she decided to stay with me,” Johnny shared about what Jenny once told him.
Her pregnancy was no obstacle for Jenni Rivera to succeed
Contrary to what some believed, “La Gran Señora” went on to be a success. Jenni spent her pregnancy performing and making her way in the music world, a situation Johnny believes is the reason she has an “intense love for the art”.
“The day after I was born, ‘Dear Partner’ started playing on the radio and within weeks my mum had her second radio hit. When I was 11 years old, she was the highest-grossing artist of her genreChiquis’ younger brother said.

Jenni’s youngest son has had various moments where he thought about killing himself, but with the support of his family he has come forward. Although in some episodes he has felt lost due to the situations he has experienced, his faith is one of his pillars.
“Just a reminder that if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans. Your plans are irrelevant to God’s. When you don’t understand why God allows something to happen…then you need to trust him more. What out of a hundred lives that I owe… with one I pay it.”

Johnny has received dozens of congratulations that he shared on his Instagram stories, including those from his sisters Chiquis and Jenicka, as well as his cousin Karizma, Lupillo Rivera’s youngest daughter.
