Claudia Raia and Jarbas Homem de Mello have announced the birth of their son Luca. The boy on Saturday (11/2) and the first photo of him was posted on social media this Sunday morning.
“Luca arrived on Saturday night and lit up! He arrived here on February 11th, already claiming his space. We caved in. The world, since then, has a new color for our family. We are overflowing with happiness and love! Welcome, Luca!”, wrote the actress in the post.
The youngest was born at the Pro Matre maternity hospital, in São Paulo, by caesarean section with 48 cm and 2.96 kg. Mother and baby are fine.
He is the third child of the actress. The eldest are Enzo, 25, and Sophia, 20, the fruit of Claudia’s marriage to the actor Edson Celulari.
Jarbas, on the other hand, is a first-time father and has been following everything closely inside the delivery room.
“I don’t even have words to describe the feeling you get when you see my son come into the world,” she said in a statement sent by her press office. “It was at that moment that everything became real. Luca is here now, I can hold him, rock him, sing to him… It’s amazing how everything changes so suddenly. I’m truly enchanted. I can’t take my eyes off him. “
Claudia also underlined the happiness of the couple and the success achieved in becoming a mother after 50 years. “Getting pregnant at 55 was totally different than it was 20 years ago, just like Enzo and Sophia’s pregnancy was different. It’s not just a physical problem, it’s also a mental one. In 20 years we’ve changed a lot, I’ve matured , the world has changed… There were moments during my pregnancy where I felt like a mother for the first time (laughs),” she commented.
By comparing the experience with her previous births, she highlighted the advances in medicine. “Life today is much more technological, which offers many resources to follow every moment, from the belly and after the birth of the baby. It is very impressive. There is an app for everything. What never changes is my love for motherhood. For me, it is, in fact, my best role. I am thrilled to be able to relive it all again and share this journey with Jarbas. He is already a very loving father. We are all over the moon: me, Jarbas, Enzo and Sophia!”.
