Buckingham Palace has finally revealed some details about the upcoming coronation of Queen Consort Camilla. According to official sources, Camilla will wear the crown of Queen Mary at the ceremony. — and this is the first time in recent history that not a custom-made, but an existing historical headdress will be used for the coronation. Mary wore this crown at the coronation of George V in 1911. Before Mary, she was worn only once — wife of George II Caroline — in the 18th century.

It is reported that the crown will be slightly modernized as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. The headpiece will be further set with Cullinan III, IV and V diamonds from the late monarch’s personal jewelry collection, and four of the eight removable arches will be removed to create “an impression different from when Queen Mary wore the crown.”
The other day it became known that the 75-year-old Queen Consort Camilla became infected with the coronavirus. This was officially announced by the palace, warning that Camilla is canceling all events scheduled for this week.
