Less than a month left before the main holiday for all the British – the solemn parade Trooping the Color in honor of the Queen’s birthday. Who will join Her Majesty on the balcony of Buckingham Palace was announced yesterday by a Palace official:
The Queen has decided that this year’s traditional Trooping the Color Balcony appearance on Thursday 2 June will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the Royal Family currently performing official public duties on behalf of the Queen.
On this day, 17 representatives of the royal family will appear in public along with the queen. Among them are Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton with George, Charlotte and Louis, the youngest son of Elizabeth Prince Edward with his wife Sophia and children – Louise and James. As well as Princess Anne with her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra. Having compromised himself with a scandalous story with Prince Andrew, who is about to lose his status as a duke, is not invited. Exactly like his daughters – Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Elizabeth’s grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do not appear on the royal lists either – they laid down royal obligations back in 2020. However, the reunion of the royal family can still take place.

A few minutes after the announcement of the will of the Queen, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their statement in which they confirmed that they would be present at the celebrations. And not alone – for the first time, little Lilibet will come to London with them. And Elizabeth II will finally be able to meet her great-granddaughter.
Prince Harry and Meghan and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are thrilled and proud to be taking part in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration in June with their children, a spokesperson for the couple said.
It is assumed that Harry and Meghan will appear to attend a church service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. But those close to the royal family do not exclude that the couple can go out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace, contrary to their original plans.
But the Queen wants the family to show a united front. To achieve this, a huge amount of effort is being made behind the scenes, insiders say.
