“Like anyone who has faced or is facing cancer treatment, hospitalizations for tests and evaluations may be necessary. The family is grateful for the affection, certain of the respect for privacy, as established from the beginning”, he informed.
Rita Lee was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2021. In April 2022 the exams taken by the singer they no longer detected the presence of the disease in their bodies.

With a family history of cancer, Rita had her breasts removed in 2010, the same surgery performed by Angelina Jolie three years later, as a form of prevention.
