Duchess of Sussex felt let down by royals’ no-do’s orders, according to monarchy biographer
Megan Marklethe Duchess of Sussex, reportedly felt ‘frustrated’ when she started joining the British royal family. The information has been revealed in the new book Golden Youthwritten by Tom Quinnbiographer of the monarchy, according to the British newspaper daily email.
According to a source at Kensington Palace who was interviewed by Quinn, the actress hated the orders she was given regarding the do’s and don’ts of royal members. “I don’t think in all of history there has ever been such a huge gap between what anyone expected when he became a member of the royal family and what he discovered he actually was,” the source said.
Another person interviewed by the biographer said Meghan felt “dazzled” by the worldwide fame that the title of “princess” could bring her. A third source even commented that she “only mingled with celebrities” and she hated being treated like a “servant of the people” and not a star.
Markle and the prince harry she stepped down from high-ranking duties as members of the British royal family in January 2020. The two argued that the decision was made in favor of the couple’s financial independence. They currently live in California with the children.
Recently, Harry published an autobiography, replacement, in which she exposed situations she experienced while living with royalty.
