Chicago Med: The Series Says Goodbye to Dr. Ethan Choi; remember the doctor’s most extraordinary moments

Next Monday, March 6, episode number 9 of the eighth season of Chicago Med, titled “This Could Be the Start of Something New”. The episode will feature the farewell of the chief of medicine at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, the doctor Ethan Choiplayed by Brian Tee.

In this episode, Choi and April (Yaya DaCosta) open a mobile clinic to bring medical care to Chicago’s underserved neighborhoods. Furthermore, dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) relies on Crockett and Med’s new OR 2.0 donation to save his patient, and Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) helps a confused elderly patient who is grieving the loss of his high school sweetheart.

In episode 7, a patient of Dr. Choi is in the room holding a glass object that contained a toxic substance. This substance is released, forcing the doctor to evacuate the entire hospital, even if it is infected.

April and Ethan’s Breakup (season 5))

Full of ups and downs, the truth is that the two have always loved each other very much. After April confessed to kissing Dr. Marcel, Choi went to meet her colleague. The episode was punctuated by striking phrases, such as “the real problem has always been here, between us”, said by Ethan to April, breaking the hearts of the couple’s fans.

In the crosshairs of a thief (season 5))

In episode 20, Ethan once again played the hero, even at the risk of dying. Here, he aided in an ongoing robbery, entering the hostage’s place and putting himself in the crosshairs of the criminal.

Promoted to emergency chief (season 6)

In the second episode, Choi gets a new position, the chief of emergency in Gaffney. The position was sought after by Dr. Will, who was disappointed with the direction’s choice, especially after his diagnosis was more accurate in treating a patient than Dr. Etano.

Choi is killed (season 6))

In episode 16, a patient of Dr. Choi who thought he was living in a virtual reality, shoots him. What happened makes April realize her feelings for the doctor and she confesses it to him.

Finally, it should be noted that, in addition to Dr. Ethan Choi, Brian brings the participation in important series and films in his curriculum. Among them, the character Ben Rogers, in the third season of Lucifer; the Shredder, from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows; and Takashi Hamada, from Jurassic World.
