How do you and Dasha share family responsibilities? Helping your wife with a baby? Are there any difficulties in raising a son?

I can say that the birth of a baby — a very difficult task. In the first days after giving birth, we spent 24/7 next to Max. I remember warning all my musicians, labelmates, and friends not to be taunted. We tried to share all the responsibilities as much as possible. For example, I took over the morning watch, and at night we were on duty together: while I am pumping the child, Dasha is preparing mixtures. The first four months were extremely difficult, because I had to combine family, concerts and filming. Of course, even now I help Daria whenever possible. In general, I do not support those men who say that they should work and support a family, but a house and children — wife’s concern. Child — this is still a very big responsibility, which must be taken seriously by both parents.

Did you choose the name together? Were there other options? Why Max and not Maxim?

In fact, we didn’t really have much choice for a name for our son. Daria is very fond of Slavic and folklore names, and she had such options as Porfiry and Agathy. (smiling) But in general, we immediately understood how we want to name our child. So that the name is strong, masculine, short and international, in case he wants to live in another country in the future, and people have no problems with pronunciation and perception. So they agreed on the name Max, which stands for “Maximum”, so that he would live according to this principle. And we both really like it. I think it suits him very well, because he is a very active guy with us, who is already striving for his goals. By the way, our parents also had interesting names, for example, Svyatogor.

In your social networks, you launched a personal challenge #Batyavdele. Do you use parenting books, or do you use parental advice?

To be honest, I was extremely surprised when I started looking for different information not in books, but on the Internet. I watched various interviews, listened to podcasts. And I found that even on foreign sites there were no specific life hacks or guides for young dads. Until now, I have deliberately and consciously not read a single book on parenting, because in the first year I approach this intuitively and follow my motives, expectations, desires. In general, I have already lived a rich and interesting life, which gave me a lot of experience in different directions, and I think that I have something to share with my son. I’m madly waiting for the moment when he starts talking! I really want to start talking to him. I want to raise a truly unique person and give him the opportunity to develop exactly those skills and abilities that will help him live a happy, interesting and inspiring life.

As for the challenge, at one time I talked with many both young and experienced fathers, people of different professions, collecting their experience. It’s very interesting to me myself. It’s better than books.

You starred in the show “Fantastic” on the First during the pregnancy of your wife. Was it difficult to combine shooting with preparation for childbirth and leave Daria alone for a long time?

Yes, indeed, the active phase of filming “Fiction” fell right at the end of Daria’s pregnancy. I completed the song “Love me, love” in between contractions. (smiling) I went to another room, called up the arrangers to meet the deadlines. Every week it was necessary to issue a new track and at the same time learn to live a new life. It was one of the most difficult stages in my life. For some time we went to our parents outside the city, and next to Daria was her mother, who helped. I did not want to leave Dasha alone for a long time, because she had postpartum depression. It’s still very difficult for her.

In the final episodes of Fantastica, you introduced your Boutonniere to the audience, behind the avatar of which Daria was hiding. Was it her initiative? Was it difficult to participate in the show in the last terms?

For the shooting of the eighth series of “Fiction”, where Buton sang the song “Naked” by the group “Degrees”, according to the director’s idea, a second character was required. At first they wanted to take just an assistant, but then they offered the role of the Boutonniere to Daria. And Max was already present at the shooting of the final episodes. We can say that we went through this project together with the whole family.

While Daria is on maternity leave, you have completely taken over the development of your ampir clothing brand. Is it difficult to combine running a business with raising a son and with your creativity? Do you have assistants and assistants?

We soberly made this decision and realized that Daria now needs to concentrate on Max, on her health, on recovery. Therefore, for some time, she almost completely retired from all affairs. I took over all operational management and business processes. But it did not work out to combine this with active creative activity, so we hired a manager. And now Daria’s sister has joined us, helping with the visual part of our brand.

You have a song “Daddy make a daughter.” Would you like more children, for example, a girl?

Until the moment I had a child, I did not like to spend time with children, I was a childfree. But with the advent of Max, everything changed, and I realized how great happiness it is! It lies in the simple little things and moments that you spend with him at all stages of his early development. I think all parents understand what I’m talking about. This is a ton of happiness, and who will refuse the second ton? I personally wouldn’t mind! Yes, indeed, I would also like a daughter and a son. In general, it seems to me that 2-3 children in a family — this is the best option in order to give everyone time, and then get high through life together. Therefore, we will definitely come to this with great pleasure! (smiling)

In your musical family, whose songs does Max fall asleep to? Who sings lullabies: dad or mom?

We often sing together. (smiling) But, in fact, Daria is responsible for our lullabies. She knows a huge number of different children’s songs. Since she herself comes from a musical family, and as a child, her mother often sang to her, now she teaches me many songs, and we sing with her in two voices, improvise. We already have a favorite lullaby, which Max has learned by heart, and easily falls asleep to it. Often I play the piano with the baby. So, not on purpose, music has been with him from an early age. In addition, he himself takes an active interest in my guitar. Therefore, our guy is growing up very musical and creative.

Who are the star parents you communicate with?

To be honest, at first we practically did not communicate with anyone at all. I had to learn to live with a baby. It’s only in the last few months that we’ve begun to emerge into the light. In February, for the first time, we went on a trip with very interesting guys — family of Alexey Olkhovy, businessman, restaurateur, photographer. We communicate very often with Olya Seryabkina. Dasha is constantly in touch with her, exchanging various tips. We communicate with Ida Galich and support each other. After “Fiction” we talked a lot about children with Yulianna Karaulova. I would like to meet our families already, and I hope that we will realize this soon. In general, I realized that lately it’s really much more interesting for me to communicate with people who have children. This is something new for me, and I am madly in love with learning new things: emotions, information, and, most importantly, meeting new people. Some stars in social networks register separate accounts for their children. Example: the daughter of Pasha and Hannah, Adriana. Do you plan to create a separate profile for Max?

I saw the account of Adriana, the daughter of Pasha and Hannah. Kukoyak really likes her daughter Vasilisa. But these kids are older, they know how to talk and do something on camera. Max is still small, and we do not plan to create a separate account for him yet, although my grandfather is already pushing for this. (smiling)

How does your family inspire you to create?

I can say that the appearance of Daria in my life has changed my work. I looked at myself as an artist from a new perspective. He began to try new genres, new styles and directions in music, learn different chords and harmonies, practice playing the guitar and piano. All thanks to Dashula! And with the advent of Max, everything multiplied at times. Love has become many times more, and love works real miracles. For example, my song “LADY” was written during Dasha’s pregnancy, and I felt like a big father. Even now, when I sit down to write music, I immediately understand that I want to create something very sensual, emotional and sincere about myself and my life. Or I fantasize and take as a basis people I know and their stories. And the family gave me even more strength, energy and new meanings for my beloved work. In addition, it motivates me to great achievements.
