John Travolta, 69, was very excited during the past 95th Academy Awards ceremony. He was honored to present the traditional “In Memoriam” special segment, in which the assembled stars paid tribute to the memory of deceased colleagues. Emotions washed over Travolta as he paid tribute to his late Grease co-star Olivia Newton-John.

They touched our hearts, made us smile, became our dear friends, to whom we will always remain hopelessly faithful,” Travolta said with tears in his eyes.

Having coped with emotions, Travolta invited Lenny Kravitz to the stage. He performed his 2004 hit “Calling All Angels”. Among the dead stars who were shown on screen at this moment are Ray Liotta, Angelo Badalamenti, Jean-Luc Godard, Angela Lansbury, Raquel Welch and many others. Olivia Newton-John passed away in August 2022 from breast cancer.

Recall that at the end of last year, John Travolta honored the memory of his wife on her 60th birthday. The actress passed away at the age of 58 from breast cancer in June 2020. Travolta published a touching congratulations on his blog, accompanied by an archival photograph from his youth.
