Megan T. Stallion made her Billboard Music Awards debut with a thought-provoking performance at the 2022 show.
Wearing a black cropped suit, which included a tang back, the rapper sang “Plan B” and “Sweetest Pie.”
He stood in front of the vertical white light of the work. As he climbed the stairs to the stage, pyrotechnics moved behind him and the crowd cheered the song’s most uplifting lines.
Maria J. Bleigi and the doja cat could also be seen circling and, in the case of the doja, singing together in the auditorium.
When the song changed to “Sweetest Pie”, the lights changed to pink and purple as Megan was joined by dancers dressed in black.
This work also included firework-like pyrotechnics.
During the second track, Megan also turned around several times to show her barely covered buttocks, eliciting at least one surprised look from the viewer.
Previously, Megan won Best Female Rap, where she greeted her fellow nominees and said that “after a year and a lot of hard work”, it was a pleasure to be appreciated, recognized and celebrated by her peers and supporters.
Megan revealed on her Instagram account that all of her attire for the Sunday night show, including her running performance outfit, was done by Mugler.
The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on NBC at 8pm ET / 5pm PT. The show was also broadcast live on Peacock.
