Do you love surprises? What tune do you expect to hear on the show?

Of course I love surprises. Pleasant ones, of course. Who doesn’t love them? But it’s not every day that you get them. And when this happens, of course, it remains in the memory for a long time, cheers up, surprises, discourages at times. What tune do I want to hear? — I find it difficult to answer. Perhaps something from what I listened to as a child, in my youth …

To whom and what surprise did you yourself recently present?

I gave Joseph a song for his birthday. It would seem that it sounds so everyday. But I wrote a song about us, about our feelings with him, about how it all began. But this is not the surprise, but what it was like to record this song. Because we never part with him for a second. And when we’re not around, he still knows where I am and what I’m doing, every second of my life. And to come up with a situation in which I would be in the studio and be able to realize my idea was akin to flying into space.

I had to record two songs. I also wrote — and allegedly went to record it. But actually at that point in time we were working on two songs at once. Of course I had accomplices — sound engineer and sound producer Sasha Davia. We turned this case with him and recorded a song, and I sang it to Joseph for his birthday. Of course, he was shocked, because it was impossible to imagine that I managed to do this. Of course, such surprises cannot be made every day. Therefore, to the best of our ability, we arrange something for each other, although it is not easy to organize.

You have known Joseph for 20 years. Is it a lot or a little?

Yes, Joseph and I have known each other for 20 years, but we are changing, developing, and therefore are still interesting to each other. The worst — is to slow down, stop, stop changing. Then, probably, the relationship can undergo some changes, not for the better. But so far we are not bored.

Tell us about your mother: do you have any special words of tenderness for each other?

Mom and I are very close. We are real friends with her. She knows everything about me. As much as mom knows, no one knows. And, of course, she is an attorney in all my affairs, in all my questions, and I value this very much. I call her Mommy, Mommy, Mommy.

How do you build relationships with children: “lisping”, give advice, reproach for something?

With children, of course, “lisping around”. They are all adults, but I don’t care: “The sun”, “My joy”, “My bird” … And so on in a circle. They are okay with this, because they are used to it, nothing has changed over the years. I can also squeeze them, and kiss, and hug — both boys and daughter. For me, this expression of feelings is very important. If I have a need, then I really want to realize it — I need to be sure to cuddle, hug tightly. I reproach? No, why? Well, we have some moments where we just express our point of view, and everyone can defend their own. But this does not mean that I reproach, I reproach — this is not my issue at all. Do I give advice? Only if they ask. Because all people are adults, and unsolicited advice only causes irritation. — each of us knows this.

The last story you read to your granddaughter?

Just a couple of days ago — “Fly-sokotuhu.” Well, not only. We read a lot and play different games, where in the process we have to come up with some plots, entertain her with some scenes. She really likes it when something is invented, and not even toys are used, but fingers, hands, sounds. All children are very creative, they have developed imagination, and they love to play this way even more.

Stable healthy lifestyle and sports, or do you allow yourself some “pranks”?

I am a living person, of course. Both sport and healthy lifestyle — This is wonderful. But you could go crazy if you stick to some rules all the time. There may, probably, be some very serious breakdowns if a person sets himself a taboo. I allow myself to eat something forbidden on holidays, somehow deviate from my usual diet — nnothing terrible. If I suddenly bring an extra kilo from vacation, then I follow a couple of days of a more sparing diet, and everything falls into place.

The best holiday for you — This…

For me the best holiday — it’s a journey. This is an opportunity to learn a lot. Even if it’s physically hard, you go on excursions a lot, climb some mountains, go down into some caves — it’s insanely interesting, and I love this kind of vacation.

You have prepared a solo concert for your birthday. What gift are you waiting for and what is the most unusual present from the audience you have ever received?

Yes, on my birthday I will play a concert, we will give a big show. On the one hand, this is a gift to the audience, and on the other — meeting them is also a great gift for me. And their emotions will charge me for a very long time. Therefore, I wish myself a deafening reception as a gift. This is probably the most, most joyful thing that can be for an artist.

And the most original gift — I remember him very well. My fans gave me a plate of fried potatoes after the concert. They knew that I love it very much, but I never eat it, and they decided that after the concert, after losing energy, it would be very good to eat their favorite dish to restore strength. Of course, I didn’t abuse it, I shared it with my husband, who also respects potatoes, but it was very unexpected and unusual. Remembered for a long time!
