Alan Thatcher has hit back at those who criticized him for publicly sharing what happened during his visit to Maribel Guardia after the death of her son, Julián Figueroa.
The presenter of Despierta América is one of the few celebrities who a few days ago was allowed to enter the residence of the actress, where she said goodbye to the 27-year-old singer.
“I was already shaking, it was a very difficult moment. We gave each other a huge hug, me and Maribel, we cried together,” was part of what he shared on the April 12 show.
Alan Thatcher asserts he disrespected Maribel Guardia
After the negative comments he received because of the evidence he gave, Alan Thatcher made it clear that he never violated Marimel Guardia’s trust.
“I haven’t said anything that Maribel didn’t come up with, one. Two, I haven’t said anything familiar or unusual,” he said in an interview with “Sale el sol,” broadcast on April 13.
“I was just taking the same words that Maribel said when she came out to talk (to the press), as was Imelda. Maybe I just pushed the topic further, but no disrespect,” he clarified.
Tacher even took on what the interpreter of “You and I” had already expressed: that she understands that the media is involved in her life.
“Maribel told me, (she was) very grateful to you because she knows what you meant in her career, from Joan (Sebastian), the birth of Julián, to what happened now,” he declared.

On this occasion, the Mexican communicator also defended Imelda Garza, who was singled out for the message on social networks with which she said goodbye to her husband, which they described as “cold”.
“She makes me very upset because I talked to her [a su lado]and she’s very sad, broken, torn apart,” he said of the aforementioned show.
Alan stressed that “you don’t know how you’re going to react, as a wife, as a mother, as a child” when a loved one dies, for what he sees as “unfairness” when the world judges.
“Everybody has their own process, and that’s what (people) need to understand. Of course he wrote two, three, lines because it had just happened and sometimes you don’t even know what to put or say,” he said.
It was on April 10 when, less than 24 hours after what happened, Imelda posted a few lines dedicated to the father of her son on her social networks.
“I love you forever. You are in a better place with your dad and you leave me with my heart broken in a thousand pieces but with many happy memories and lots of laughter, fly high ‘love’,” she noted.
