Valery Meladze gave the stage more than 30 years and now, it seems, he decided to put an end to this. In social networks, the 56-year-old singer shared that he was thinking of returning to the profession he received at the Nikolaev Shipbuilding Institute.
After the institute, I graduated from graduate school and was engaged in science in the field of deep water purification. Recently, after leafing through my Ph.D. thesis and studying modern achievements in this field, I have developed an installation for extracting various elements of the periodic table from sea water. This is a very promising direction. I am inspired by a new goal, it causes creative excitement, – wrote Valery.
The artist accompanied his post with two similar pictures, one of which was taken during his student days. As for the further musical career, Meladze answered this as follows:
Music remains my favorite thing, although I have lost all interest in show business. For me, song formats, the number of rotations on radio stations, and participation in filming on TV channels have ceased to matter. I know for sure that my songs have been living for a long time and will live their lives for a long time thanks to my listeners, – concluded Valery.
However, now Meladze has a lot of worries besides his professional activities. Recently it became known that his daughter, 23-year-old Sofiko is getting married. Sofiko is the middle daughter of Valery and his first wife Irina Malukhina, with whom he has been married for 25 years since 1989. In total, the former spouses have three daughters: in addition to Sofiko, there are 31-year-old Inga and 19-year-old Arina. The couple broke up when the ex-soloist of VIA Gra, 43-year-old Albina Dzhanabaeva, appeared in Meladze’s life. She gave birth to two sons to the singer – 18-year-old Konstantin and 7-year-old Luka, as well as daughter Agatha, who just turned one year old. The lovers got married in 2014.
