In the post, Thiago wrote: “I thank God, who is the source of all grace and wisdom, for the blessing that was the life of our beloved son Levi. Although he was with us for so few days, the love and light he brought into our lives is immeasurable. I know that every second we spent together was a divine gift and I am eternally grateful for this experience, however brief it was.”
He also referred to his wife, underlining her importance. “I also thank my beautiful wife, who now rests in heaven. My heart is filled with gratitude for all that she was, and still is, in my life. Her courage, her love and her dedication to our family are inspirations that will remain with me forever. I know that, despite her early departure, she is by Levi’s side, guiding him with all the love she has always had. I know that they are both at peace, next to God,” he added.
Thiago also said that although the moment is difficult, he has good memories. “Though the pain of loss is great, I find comfort in the fact that our dear Levi and my beloved wife are in a place of light and love, and one day, with the grace of God, we will be together again.”

I thank God for allowing me to live this experience of love, even if for a short time, and for giving me the strength to move forward. Death of mother and child
Levi, born last Wednesday, 22 years old, was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (ICU) in Cuiabá. His mother, Paula, died last Thursday, the 23rd, due to complications during childbirth. Before his death, Ana Castela and other family members requested blood donations in his name.
Paula was a lawyer from Cáceres, a city about 220 km from Cuiabá, and was a member of the New Covenant Assembly of God Church (ADNA), which released an official statement lamenting the child’s death.
“The Assembly of God New Alliance expresses its profound sorrow for the passing of little Levi, son of our beloved and eternal Paula, in the arms of the Heavenly Father. In this moment of pain and desire, we pray that the Holy Spirit consoles and strengthens all family members and friends, bringing peace and hope to the hearts of each one”, we read in an extract of the statement.
The Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) of Mato Grosso mourned the lawyer’s death on its social networks. In a statement, the institution states: “In this moment of farewell, the Brazilian Bar Association – Mato Grosso Section (OAB-MT) expresses its deepest regret and solidarity with the family and friends. May they go through this moment of pain with strength and serenity.”
