Tomorrow will be the coronation of Charles III – an event for which the whole country is preparing. On the eve of the historic event, Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to go to Soho (the shopping and entertainment district of London). The Prince and Princess of Wales are visiting to see if the county is ready for the holiday weekend. According to the Daily Mail, the couple went there by subway.
Kate and William rode the Elizabeth Line train from Acton to Tottenham Court Road. The short trip was a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. This metro line is named after her. The Queen opened it last March, four months before her death. After leaving at their destination, the couple walked around the area and headed to the local Dog & Duck pub.
The prince and princess decided to ask the staff how the bar and neighboring establishments are preparing for the weekend. Since the area is located near Buckingham Palace, hundreds of English people will come there to become part of the solemn events. Kate and William also met with other members of the hospitality and entertainment industry. While at the establishment, William joked that he “just drank some cider”. However, the Prince added that he puts his coronation duties first.
I’ll drink after the coronation, but not now. We have many guests in London. People come to us from all over the world. It’s just fantastic,” he said.
In turn, Kate also spoke about the upcoming events. The princess noted that a very exciting and stressful time awaits everyone. She hinted that she was tired of preparation and fuss.

Earlier this month, Prince William and Kate Middleton traveled to Wales to meet with the mountain rescue team of the Central Beacons. This year, the association, which operates in the central part of the Bannau-Brycheiniog National Park, is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The Welsh not only talked to the rescuers, but also took part in the training of the team. They went down the rope, practiced medical care and tried to find the man with the dogs.
