King Charles III receives the crown 70 years after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II: find out more details about the celebration!

OR King Charles III was crowned, this Saturday, 06/05, at Westminster Abbey, London, alongside the queen consort Camilla. The monarch ascended the throne in September last year, following the death of his mother, the Queen Elizabeth II.




The Queen had been the last to ascend the throne for nearly 70 years, in June 1953. According to Buckingham Palace, representatives from 203 locations around the world were invited, as well as community and charity agents. In addition, more than 2,200 people attended the ceremony.

The celebration is quite religious. It was celebrated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, leader of the Anglican Church.
