It is explained that, supposedly, the reason the superstars have coincided on motorsport day is only because they “share a famous friend”.
“Informants tell us that both Tom and Shakira were invited to the event by Mercedes team driver Lewis Hamilton (…) That’s why they were together several times during the race,” they point out.
Regarding the fact that Cruise reportedly sent the singer-songwriter flowers after they met because “he was so smitten,” the outlet revealed that his source didn’t know if that was true or not, “but (the person) said that Shakira is simply not interested in dating right now,” they said.
After Page Six reported that the ‘Top Gun’ star would have romantic intentions with the Colombian, Us Weekly warned that the feeling would not be reciprocated.
“Shakira had a great time with Tom at F1, but she is not interested in dating him” an insider shared.
“He was very nice and enjoyed his company, but right now she’s not focused on meeting him or anyone else. She has a lot going on and is focused on her kids and her career at the moment,” he added.
The source also claimed that the songwriter allegedly saw the news that Cruise “wanted her” and just he reacted humorously.
“(She’s seen the internet rumors that Tom is dating her and how fans come up with opinions that she thinks are hilarious because they’re just it’s not true“, pointed out.
