‘Won’t follow the path of Charles III’: Prince William has already started planning his coronation

On May 6, an important event took place in the history of Great Britain – the coronation of Charles III. Barely a month after the ceremony, Prince William began planning his own ascension to the throne. The Sunday Times, citing sources, writes that the monarch’s heir has already discussed the details of his coronation with the king’s closest advisers.

William is planning a “completely different” ceremony. He wants to complement the traditional protocol, make it modern and relevant. The Prince of Wales intends to abandon the procedure in which the audience welcoming the king must pay tribute to him and promise to serve faithfully. After the coronation of Charles III, this ceremony was criticized.

He will never go down that path. He believes that in 20 years, or when his time comes, the coronation should be modern, uniting the nation and the countries of the Commonwealth, said a source close to Prince William.

Recently, Prince William, along with Kate Middleton, visited the scout camp located in the city of Slough. They were accompanied by children – 9-year-old George, 8-year-old Charlotte and 5-year-old Louis. Monarchs participated in traditional entertainment and spoke to volunteers.

Shortly before this, the Welsh family went to a coronation concert. True, Prince Louis had to be left at home, as he was tired after the official part. Katy Perry, Nicole Scherzinger, Andrea Bocelli and many other world stars performed at the event.
