75-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke frankly with journalists from The Hollywood Reporter. In an interview, the Hollywood star spoke about returning to the role of the Terminator, which once made him a world celebrity. He admitted that he would no longer participate in the franchise tapes. At the same time, Arnold noted that he is always open to new proposals. The only thing is that they must be interesting enough to intrigue him.
The franchise is not over yet. But I’m done with it. Now I understand very well that the audience around the world wants something different from the “Terminator”, some other topics. Someone has to come up with a good idea. In many ways, I became famous precisely because of the “Terminator”, so I have always treated this series with love,” the actor shared.
Schwarzenegger praised the first three installments of the franchise. In addition, he admitted that the fifth and sixth – “Genesis” and “Dark Fate” – had unsuccessful scenarios. He suggested that the creators of the action movies knew about this in advance.
The first three films were just great. In the fourth part, I did not appear in person, since at that time I was the governor of California. And the fifth and sixth, as I understand it, did not live up to expectations. We knew about it beforehand because they weren’t well written.
Arnold also expressed his attitude towards plastic surgery. He denied the speculation of many fans that he did medical procedures to maintain his excellent physical shape.
I have never had plastic surgery. I have never tried any “tricks”. Many years ago, I went to the University of California, Los Angeles, where world-renowned experts on aging work. I asked if anything has been created or will be available that reverses aging. They answered me in the negative. I could die earlier because I smoke cigars, but then it is balanced by the fact that I eat well and exercise.
Recall that Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver divorced in 2011. The reason for the separation of the star couple was the child who was born to the actor from the housekeeper Mildred Baen.
