Elon Musk speaks out about Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard

The hearing on the suit of Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard, whom the actor accuses of defamation, has finally come to an end. Last Friday, their lawyers made closing arguments. In the meantime, the jury is discussing the verdict, Elon Musk decided to express his opinion on this case. BBusinessman, engineer and founder of SpaceX met Amber Heard in 2017, just a couple of months after the actress accused Johnny Depp of domestic violence. It was previously stated that Musk to act as Johnny’s witness, but Elon never appeared in the courtroom. But Ilon could not pass by the commentary of the research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lex Friedman, in which he shared his findings from the trial. On Friedman’s conclusion that “fame is a hell of a drug (for some)” and “psychiatrists and lawyers come in completely different levels of skill”, Musk responded briefly:

Hope they both move on. At their best, each of them is incredible,” the businessman wrote on social networks, deciding in the end not to take either the side of Depp or the side of Heard.

Amber Heard and Elon Musk met in 2013 on the set of Machete Kills. And in 2017, they started dating. At that time, Amber Bala was still married to Johnny Depp, but they no longer lived together. The romantic relationship between Heard and Musk did not last long – they broke up just a few months after Amber officially announced their romance on social networks. In the same place, the couple issued a statement explaining the status of their relationship after breaking up:

The distance was a very difficult test for both of us, because we could not see each other often. Of course, all relationships have their ups and downs. People sometimes, without our knowledge, make assumptions that have no factual basis, believing that they think about our interests. This might get a little weird… However, we would like to state straight out that we have a lot of respect for each other and it would be embarrassing if anyone got the impression that we think otherwise.

Meanwhile, Johnny Japp’s $50 million libel case against Amber Heard stems from a 2018 article she wrote for the Washington Post. In it, she stated that she was “a public figure who survived domestic violence.” Although Depp’s name was not mentioned in the actress’s column, his lawyers said that the actress’s essay caused significant damage to his career, depriving him of acting roles. In response, Amber filed a $100 million counterclaim.
