Jeander Vinícius da Silva Braga, arrested for killing Jeff Machado, released a new statement to the police and changed his version of the gruesome crime. According to G1, the suspect ruled out a third party involved and said the outlawed producer would be cool.
In the initial statement, the call boy said the actor was allegedly assassinated with the help of a man named Marcelo. However, Jeander denied the existence of this alleged accomplice after authorities ruled out the possibility.
Jeander also highlighted the “absurd coldness” on the part of Bruno de Souza Rodrigues, who allegedly blackmailed him into committing the crime. He said the producer threatened to tell his wife about his “other” profession besides being a baker and bricklayer.
At another point, the call boy reported that he was approached by a lawyer named Carol, allegedly paid by Bruno. The professional gave him instructions to «stay in the hotel, format the phone and change the chip [do celular]”, since “if the police had access to cell phone messages, it would be shit*”.
Finally, Jeander said she met Bruno on a dating app two years ago, when they started having sex at least four times. She added that the fugitive told her he had “killed other people” before.

Jeander Vinícius da Silva Braga was arrested on Friday (2/6) by the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police (PCRJ) on charges of qualified murder and concealment of the body of Jeff Machado. He was detained in Santíssimo, in the west area of Rio de Janeiro.
This is not the first arrest of Jeander Vinícius, who was arrested in the act for robbery in 2019. At the time, the boy was being chased by popular people after stealing a cell phone in the Copacabana region of Rio de Janeiro. He spent four months in prison but was released on parole.
