During the presentation of the publication at the International Book Fair in Abu Dhabi, the author of the book, journalist Raed Barkawi, spoke about his literary work about the Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Raed has long observed the life and achievements of the ruler of Dubai, as well as the implementation of his projects in the emirate and its steady growth over the course of three decades. The author’s close relationship with his hero helped him to become more familiar with a series of historic decisions that have become the key to Dubai’s leadership on the world stage. The book also tells the thoughts and vision of the future Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
Proceeds from book sales will go to charitable causes, including support for children with special needs. As the author noted, the publication of the book in English will help non-Arabic-speaking audiences to get to know the leader of Dubai and learn about his achievements.
