King Charles III wants to stage a triumphal parade in his first Trooping the Colour, but royal experts have warned of the risks. Find it out!
OR King Charles IIIwill lead the first edition of Trooping the Color From who officially assumed the British throne. The event is a celebration of the Sovereign’s birthday; this is an official infantry tradition and does not take place on the monarch’s official birth date.
According to the Portuguese magazine Flash!, Charles wants to impress and make the event very different from what happened in the time of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, to mark his reign. Therefore, he wants to save an ancient tradition and parade on horseback.
The last time this happened was in 1985. The following year, Elizabeth II, now 60, continued to parade for the public in a carriage. Charles’ decision, however, was seen as dangerous, with several “risk factors” for the 74-year-old monarch.
According to real specialists, one of the risk factors would be the problem that Charles has in his spine, the result of many years of playing polo. A horse parade could help escalate the pain in the long run, as well as the possibility of harming the apparition if any discomfort appears at that moment.
THE HEAT COULD EVEN DAMAGE KING CHARLES III ON PARADE
What worries the most is the heat that hits London these days. As summer approaches, temperatures are rising in the city. Last Saturday (10), during an event with Prince William, three members of the UK Royal Guard fainted. The thermometers marked 30º C and the woolen and bearskin clothes contributed to the discomfort.
Also according to Flash!, Charles is confident in his decision and does not intend to go back.
