‘I was stupid’: Jose Manuel Figueroa’s girlfriend begs Marimel Guardia for forgiveness for broadcasting Julian’s funeral

Marie Claire Harp, the friend of José Manuel Figueroa, begged Maribel Guardia to forgive her for playing “live” on the day of her son Julián’s wake.

On April 11, the 30-year-old host broadcast for her program, “Buenas Banda,” from outside the 64-year-old actress’ home and gave details of the service being performed.

After the big controversy among Guardia’s fans caused by what he did, the Venezuelan model confirmed that the connection was made “without any kind of fraud”.

Now, two months after what happened, Marie Claire sent a few words to Maribel Guardia to apologize for her actions.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I was stupid,” she said emphatically into the microphone of the Sit Whoever Can! this June 13th.

“If I could go back in time right now to be able to make a decision about whether or not to do this ‘live’, I would rather not do it,” he added.

The pair of the “Expelled from paradise” actor confirmed that making this link “was the worst mistake” of his life and that he is “very sorry”.

“Honestly, I shouldn’t have. (…) I don’t know what I was thinking, I didn’t see at that moment the consequences that could (happen), I didn’t think about Maribel’s heart,” he admitted.

Harp shared that he hasn’t personally discussed this matter with the “Crown of Tears” star, which you can see here on ViX, but that he’s looking forward to it.

“I hope I get the chance, and God bless me, to be able to have a coffee with her and explain the situation to her. Maribel is a very generous person and she understands the whole news and press thing and I feel like she does,” he said.

Likewise, she confessed that her behavior at that intimate event for Guardia and her loved ones will be “a karma” that she will carry with her forever.

Julián Figueroa died, aged 27, on April 9, 2023, from an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.

Why did Marie Claire connect to the show from Maribel Guardia’s residence?

During her participation in La Casa de los Famosos México, Marie Claire explained to her colleagues the reason why she came into contact with the “show” in which she participates outside Maribel’s house.

“It was half past two in the afternoon and I had to leave, but I knew that if I left, I wouldn’t be able to come back and Jose Manuel was very sick,” she said.

“He doesn’t express himself, but he was very upset because he had spoken to Julián a few days before. What happened was I said, ‘I’m going to put a link out,'” he added.

Harp maintained that no one forced her to join the show. “I said to my producer, ‘Hey, I’m going to link from here and comment on what I’m experiencing, what I’m going through,'” he explained.
