Meghan Markle terminates $20 million contract with Spotify

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ending their partnership with Spotify. The podcast of the Duchess of Sussex “Archetypes”, in which she discussed with the guests the problem of oppression of women in the modern world, was not very successful and was closed after the first season. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s production company Archewell Audio and Spotify said in a joint statement:

The team behind Archetypes are still proud of the podcast they created on Spotify.

The insider assures that the grandson of Elizabeth II and his wife have not been engaged in the production of content in the proper volume since the conclusion of the transaction. Just a few episodes in two years is so small that the producers considered the project pointless. At the same time, there is another version of what happened, expressed by representatives of the spouses.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed a $20 million deal with Spotify at the end of 2020. Insiders claim the royal couple did not meet “the performance criteria needed to receive the full payout.”

Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell recently spoke out about Meghan Markle. He stated that he sympathizes with Prince Harry and believes that all this time he acted against his will.
