In the midst of the judicial war, this Wednesday (21/6) Gugu Liberato’s family was informed of the existence of an alleged fourth child of the presenter. The information was provided by columnist Mônica Bergamo, of the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper.
The three children of the presenter (Joao Augusto, Marina and Sofia) and Gugu’s sister, Aparecida Liberato, were surprised during the court hearing by the presence of a bailiff, who was holding a summons.
The four heirs have been informed of the existence of a “post mortem” paternity investigation action against Gugu Liberato. However, the trial takes place in the secrecy of justice.
New son of Gugu Liberato
The merchant Ricardo Rocha, 48, claims to be one of the heirs and asks for the body of Gugu Liberato to be exhumed for a DNA test. If he proves it, he can request the reservation of the share that would be due to him.
The summons states that the applicant’s mother, Otacília Gomes da Silva, allegedly met “Antonio Augusto Moraes Liberato (the notorious TV presenter ‘Gugu Liberato’)” in the second half of 1973.
The alleged meeting between Otacília and Gugu allegedly took place “in a bakery that existed in Rua Aimberê, number 458, in the Perdizes neighborhood, in this capital”. The petition also states that “the mother” worked as a nanny and housekeeper “in the residence of a Japanese family” next to the bakery.
According to information, Otacília had a daily habit of going to the bakery, “on which occasion she met Antonio Augusto who, very communicative, flirted with her and, over time, there was an evolution of friendship, some walks , culminating in an intimate relationship between them”.
In 1974, Otacília “discovered she was pregnant” after spending the holidays with the Japanese family she worked with on the coast of São Paulo. The waitress would have looked for Gugu to “communicate the news”, but the presenter “was never found in that shop again, completely losing contact”. Ricardo Rocha, the supposed offspring of the relationship, was born in October 1974.
Also in the subpoena, Ricardo says he spent his teenage years watching Gugu Liberato’s television career from afar. He “intended to postpone the search for acknowledgment of paternity for the future”.
Ricardo allegedly decided to reclaim his rights with the death of Gugu Liberato and the controversial inheritance dispute. “Faced with the possible refusal of the heirs or relatives to submit to the collection of genetic material, essential for the resolution of the dispute, it becomes necessary to proceed with the exhumation of the body, with the consequent analysis of the cadaveric material”, says the request.
Attorney Nelson Wilians, who defends Rose Miriam (mother of three), states that “if paternity is proven [de Ricardo]this in itself invalidates the will”, left by the presenter. The defense must use the argument in the action which attempts to recognize a stable union between the presenter and Rose, after the defeat of the mother in the STJ, who recognized the legitimacy of the will that Rose excluded from sharing.
