Gugu: Lawyer says it’s a real letter written by Rose Miriam about cheating and bisexuality

‘She wrote with a desperate heart to protect her children,’ says Nelson Wilians, who represents twins Marina and Sofia

A letter written by Rosa Miriam Di Matteomother of three children Gugu Liberated and companion of the presenter for 20 years, is echoing on the internet this Thursday 22. In it, Rose allegedly stated that the communicator’s homosexuality was “a serious problem” and believed he could cure it with “prayer and fasting”. Attorney Nelson Wilians, who represents Gugu’s daughters, repudiated the leak and stressed it was out of context.

“Angel, I know your sexual preference is different. But this kind of sexual behavior of yours doesn’t come from your spirit, it’s not yours. And I have a way to turn this around. but it’s a problem. a problem. It’s a very serious one,” reads the excerpt from the alleged letter.”

“You might think that you haven’t liked having relationships with women since you were a teenager because that’s who you are and you will never change, but that’s not true. I can get that ultimate change from God, by praying and fasting. Only by prayer and fast I will get it,” says another passage.

“I know about Viagra and drinks, I know about cell phones that cannot be entered with owners, etc., (…) I know a lot about his homosexuality [sic]I already wanted to know it from your mouth, but it was not possible because you deny it terribly”, wrote Rose Miriam.

Attorney Nelson Wilians, who represents Gugu’s twin daughters Marina and Sofia, repudiated the letter leak in a memo sent to Estadão.

“Rose wrote that letter with a heart in despair when she learned of the betrayal and bisexuality of her husband, whom she loved so much, and because she also wanted to protect her children. From that moment, however, the couple enters a marital crisis and Rose, at Gugu’s request, goes to live in Rio to protect the family,” she says.

“It is in this context that the fateful contract to raise children appears, which Rose Miriam signed drugged, under the influence of very strong drugs; and the infamous will of 2011. At that time Rose fell into a severe depression, returned to Saint Paul and attempted suicide, admitted to the Albert Einstein hospital”, she continues.

And, again, the lawyer Wilians draws attention to the responsibility that Gugu had towards her and their children: “He went to see her in the hospital and identified himself at the reception as Rose’s partner, according to hospital records . period in which she made a will and contract for her to take care of the children”.

“Which reinforces the thesis of the lawyer Nelson Wilians. According to the testimony of the doctors, he signed under the influence of drugs. Therefore, not having control of his mental functions, so much so that the presenter preferred to make deposits for maintenance of the family in his brother’s story, since he was under therapy, after that period, in addition to undergoing therapy, he also convinced Gugu to undergo therapy and obtained from him the promise that he would change his behavior, as he had expressed this desire at the time . , the life of the couple returned to normal and the family decided to live in Orlando (USA), the city that Gugu loved the most. First they bought a small house. Adapting to the city, the family moved to a house bigger. It was in this house that Gugu had an accident and was saved by Rose.”

According to him, the legislation for the recognition of a stable union is clear: “Cheating or the absence of sex — which is not the case for Rose and Gugu — are not, in themselves, elements to disqualify a stable union , but people who start to betray in order to “escape” from any civil responsibilities. Rose and Gugu maintained a public, notorious, lasting, continuous relationship with the aim of forming a family, which was also interspersed with marital crises. These are the elements that the Court evaluates in a common law marriage recognition process. And, in Rose’s case, all of these questions are largely possible for confirmation,” the attorney concluded.
