Alejandro Sanz’s friend talks about the alleged romance between the singer and Shakira

While Shakira vacations with her children Milan and Sasha in a paradisiacal Latin American destination, speculation about her love life continues.

After it was reported from Spain that she is allegedly having an affair with Alejandro Sanz and not driver Lewis Hamilton, a friend of the singer has spoken out.

According to the show “Socialité”, Shakira and Alejandro Sanz would have “a possible romance” and there would be “hints” of it in an unreleased song by the singer-songwriter.

Knowing the report, the music producer Miguel Ángel Arenas “Capi”, who is very close to the interpreter of “Corazón partío”, did not give it any kind of credibility.

“I know them both perfectly well. Rumors in this country are a joke. Shakira is a personal friend of his, for life,” he said in an interview with Europa Press, published on June 22.

“Shakira is not the type of woman that Alejandro likes, she is not his type, she is his friend and a great professional,” he assured emphatically.

In recent months, the composer of “Flies in the house” has been romantically linked to Hamilton, actor Tom Cruise and basketball player Jimmy Butler, which for Arenas has a reason.

“Now you all love Shakira because she ended up with the Catalan (Gerard Pique). She has said: “Nobody’s kidding me and now you’re going to find out who Shakira is.” That has given you a lot of press,” he said.

“I don’t think she wants a man right now, she has enough to deal with her kids, her house, her job,” he added.

Shakira announced her split from the athlete in June 2022 after it was revealed they had estranged due to his alleged infidelity.

As for whether Sanz wants to fall in love after his breakup with Rachel Valdés, who was his partner of more than three years, “Capi” also answered.

“I have no idea, but I guess right now he’s very broken (calm down) and let him know that he’s very well,” she pointed out.

He even ruled out the possibility of the 54-year-old artist resuming his romance with the 33-year-old artist from Cuba.

“No, I don’t think so. I think they get along very well and it was a beautiful story that had an ending. I haven’t been part of it either, I always saw them well, until one day (I found out they broke up),” he concluded.

Shakira and Alejandro Sanz met around 2000, but only five years after their paths crossed professionally, according to El Mundo.

In 2005, they released their first single together, ‘La tortura’, and then rumors began to surface that they were in a relationship, despite neither of them being single.

Over time the accusations continued, as in 2006 when they released the song “Thank you, but no”, or after it was made public, last December, that the Colombian would move to Miami.

Until now the two maintained that only friendship unites them. In September 2022, she even told Elle Spain that Alejandro supported her, like Juan Luis Guerra or Chris Martin, before what happened with Pique.
