The 30 winners of the 82nd Annual Awards will be announced on the Peabody Awards Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts, as well as the Peabody Awards website June 6-9. Presenters will reveal the winners through a short video reception speech.
It was previously announced that the Peabody Awards will present Dan Retter with the Career Achievement Award presented by Dolly Parton. Fresh air with Terry Gross Institutional Award presented by Stephen Colbert and TV Rain/Dozhd Award for Journalistic Awareness.
The 60 Peabody Award nominees, which were revealed last month, include Dopesick, Hacks, Summer of Soul, Reserve Dogs, Only Kills in the Building, Underground Railroad s yellow jackets.
The Peabody Awards are chosen annually by a diverse jury by unanimous vote. Award-winning entertainment, documentaries, news, podcast/radio, arts, children and youth and public service sharing stories representing attention-grabbing social issues and emerging voices.
