Robert De Niro’s grandson’s possible cause of death revealed: ‘You killed us all’

The cause of death of Robert De Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, would have been revealed on July 3.

It was the young man’s own mother, Drena De Niro, who publicized the possible reason why he died at the age of just 19.

“To the person who sold ‘Leo’ the apparent drugs that took him from us: I hope you think of me and my family every day. You killed us all,” she said in an Instagram post.

Accompanying this statement, the actress shared an image containing the previous statement in which she announced the death of her firstborn.

“It is with immense shock and sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved son Leo. We thank you for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we be granted privacy at this time to deal with this inconsolable pain,” it said.

A few minutes later, Drena deleted the text talking about banned substances from the description section and replaced it with emojis of a broken heart, a crying face, praying hands and a white dove.

Police are investigating the death of Robert De Niro’s grandson

Regarding the situation, TMZ reports that “police sources” have informed them that they are investigating Leandro De Niro’s death “as an overdose.”

“We are told that the teenager was taking care of the house and that drugs and drug paraphernalia were found near his body,” it is pointed out.

“We are told there were no obvious signs that led to his death. He was found by a friend who hadn’t heard from him for a few days and (who) was checking up on him,” they add.

NBC News reveals that the New York Police Department said the young man was found unconscious shortly after 2:20 p.m. yesterday inside an apartment in lower Manhattan.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel,” authorities said.

For its part, The Guardian clarifies that it will be the coroner’s office that will determine the cause of death.

Robert De Niro’s grandson is fired by his mother

On the evening of July 2, Drena De Niro took to Instagram to write a farewell tribute to her son, who she had with artist Carlos Rodríguez.

“My beautiful, sweet angel. I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly,” she wrote.

“You were my joy, my heart and everything that was always pure and true in my life. I wish I was with you now. I would like to be with you,” he also assured.

“You were so deeply loved and cherished, and I wish that love alone could have saved you. I’m so sorry baby, I’m so sorry Carlos. Rest in peace and eternal heaven my dear child,” he concluded.
