Silvio Santos’ rival in court for more than 40 years, Zé Celso was rushed to hospital after his apartment started catching fire. The 86-year-old playwright was found with burns on his body and is hospitalised.
Ze Celso Martinez is a director, actor and 86-year-old playwright who has an old feud with Silvio Santos at the court of São Paulo. Not long ago she had the happiness of crowning her marriage to Marcelo Drummond, with whom she has been together for 40 years, but the news of this Tuesday the 4th is unfortunately not good.
Apparently the apartment of Zé Celso and Marcelo Drummond suffered a fire and there was a rush to get help. Silvio Santos’ rival – emcee who appeared without his branding in public – he would have found his body with burns and removed it from the apartment still on fire.
Zé Celso was taken to the Hospital das Clínicas, which has so far not been allowed to reveal his state of health. The Oficina Uzyna Uzona Theater, founded by Zé, instead released a note:
“We await official medical bulletins, hoping that the press will respect the moment without further speculation. The dog Nagô is also in a veterinary clinic under observation. It is important now that we form a large cordon of axé, prayer, protection and healing”reads the statement released on the theater’s Instagram.
