Sónia Costa was covering for Tina Turner when the incident happened in Portugal

Shocked, Portuguese singer Sónia Costa made videos on Instagram Stories to reassure friends and fans. “Thanks for the messages, for the love,” she said.

Disheveled hair, smudged makeup and a pinned arm are the result of an accident that occurred during a show in Cascais.

“I have this crazy energy, I fell five feet, two feet. It was complicated, but it could have been more serious,” she commented.

Sónia fell off the stage into a void when she lost her balance when sitting on a speaker while singing a Tina Turner hit.

Luckily, the heavy speaker didn’t hit her head during the fall. The 52-year-old artist broke two bones and will need surgery.
