‘Secret Truths’ actor accuses Gilberto Braga of harassment





The actor Felipe de Carolis, known for his performance in the soap opera “Verdades Secretas” (2015), has launched serious accusations on his social networks, involving one of the most famous names in Brazilian television drama.

De Carolis accused the famous author Gilberto Braga (1946-2021) of molesting him for five years, a period that began when the actor was just 19 years old. “When will you fuck me?”, Gilberto would have said in a message addressed to Felipe, according to the actor’s complaint. Felipe then replied: “You have mistaken the recipient of your message”.

In an intense rant, the actor went on to detail the harassment allegations. “At the age of 19, I reported that the author of the novel had put his hand down my pants – I was fired the next day. Even though I had broken a painting on his head [Braga]to defend me, the son of a bitch continued for another five years behind me on Facebook”.

Corruption in musical theatre

Felipe de Carolis’ outburst, however, was not limited to allegations of harassment. The actor, who also has an active career in musical theatre, reported that, at the age of 28, he has exposed one of the biggest corruption schemes in the segment. In response, he was allegedly threatened by a production company security guard with a gun. “He’s gone quiet,” the actor lamented.

Although he also mentioned “Verdades Secretas 2” in his testimony, Felipe preferred not to delve into the matter, emphasizing that there are still some doubts to be clarified. He was keen to underline that in the cases cited TV Globo was not involved, but people who work and used to work for the broadcaster.

In his last words, the actor encouraged his colleagues to speak up as well. “It’s time to take the fan down now, to see if my colleagues have the courage to do like me. Everyone knows it!”

Felipe’s denunciations resonate in the Brazilian entertainment scene. Gilberto Braga is considered one of the biggest names in Brazilian drama, having signed soap operas such as “Escrava Isaura” (1976), “Dancin’ Days” (1978), “Vale Tudo” (1988) and “Celebridade” (2003). . The author passed away in 2021, aged 75, after facing a serious illness.
