Last Tuesday (18th), Mandy Moore revealed to The Hollywood Reporter who once received checks ranging from one to 81 cents for streaming royalties for this is usa hit series in which she played the character Rebecca.

Mandy, 39, is one of the stars protesting as an active part of the Actors Guild in the strike against the Alliance of Film and Television Producers (AMPTP).

“The royalty issue is a big deal”, she said. “We are in incredibly privileged positions as actors who have been very successful in some way… But many actors in our position, years before us, have been able to live off royalties or at least pay their bills.”

I was talking to my manager who said he got a one and two cent royalty check. Very small checks, like 81 cents.”

The Hollywood Actors Union (SAG-AFTRA) announced the shutdown last Thursday (13). They join the writers, who have already been on strike for two months. The negotiations focused on better pay and other benefits, as well as defining the use of artificial intelligence in film and television production to protect artists’ images. It is worth mentioning that since 1960 there has not been a double strike of actors and screenwriters.
