Jojo Todynho confirms bariatric surgery after denying: ‘Every day is a disturbance’

Singer Jojo Todynho confirmed that she underwent bariatric surgery on Tuesday (8/8) at Hospital Unimed, in Rio de Janeiro. She left the CTI (Intensive Care Center) this Wednesday (9/8), having been moved into a room. In convalescence, the artist reappeared on social media in a hospital suit, still in bed. “Always looking for the best for me. Yesterday, after the surgery, I was in a lot of pain, and this morning I got out of the CTI. I came to my room, but I’m fine,” she warned.

Lying about procedure

In the report via Instagram Stories, Jojo Todynho admitted that he had lied on the internet about the operation to maintain discretion. She was outraged at reports that she withheld information for fear of criticism, as she is known for encouraging women to love their bodies. “To clarify one thing here, I didn’t say I wouldn’t have the bariatric procedure for fear of being cancelled, no. It’s a sensitive surgery and I don’t have to answer whether I will do it or not. The decisions in my life are made by me and not from the internet,” the singer said.

Reasons for surgery

The singer clarified that the procedure was related to health, not aesthetics. “Every day was a disturbance, ‘when are you going to do it, with which doctor?’. I said I had given up, but I continued with the process, the follow-up with a psychologist, the exams, which are a lot.” she said Jojo, explaining why he lied about the operation.

Weight loss before surgery

Before the surgery, Jojo was able to lose 24 kg in two months. The owner of the hit “Que Tiro Foi Esse?” revealed in March that she’d lost weight after starting the “health project” in January. “I was at 159 and I must be at 135 kg. I changed my diet, my training and I’m happy with the result,” he said at the time, on the “Mais Você” program.
