Sidney Sampaio has provided unreleased details on the day he jumped from the fifth floor of a hotel building in Rio de Janeiro, forcing him to be hospitalized. In an interview with Spectacular Sunday, from the documentationhe denied having suffered from depression at the time, despite having already treated the disease a few years ago, and attributes the episode to self-medication with sleeping pills that he took without a prescription.

In the process of premiering a play, the actor reports feeling anxious and having trouble sleeping. “Took a shot of vodka at a bistro. Came home, went upstairs, had dinner, normal. What I remember about the fact itself is that I was afraid, I was asking for help, I was very scared about some things, I don’t remember what”.
