Robinho’s arrest: the decisions of the justice can anticipate the outcome of the player’s lawsuit


Robinho may face his 9-year prison sentence in Brazil. The player is under investigation for a crime committed while playing in Europe in 2013.




Robinho went tomowed down by mass sexual violence when he was playing for AC Milan in Italy ten years ago. The sentence was issued by the III Penal Section of the Supreme Court of Cassation of Rome and is final. This year, a series of decisions of the Federal Court can do the player serving time in Brazil

Firstly, the STF accepted a request from the Italian Justice, in which it asked that Robinho serve his sentence in Brazil. Last week, the justice rejected a request from the player’s defense, in which he wanted Italy to provide a full copy of the translated trial. The request was intended to defer sentencing.
