Last year, MakSim was on the verge of death. The actress contracted COVID-19, which was initially mistaken for pneumonia. The disease began to progress rapidly, affecting the lungs. The singer fell into a coma, after which she underwent a long rehabilitation. More in February, the singer complained of voice problems caused by lung damage. But in April, she first appeared on the stage and is clearly on the right path to recovery.
Most recently, the singer became a guest of the national music award, and the other day she became the main character of an issue of a Russian magazine. In it, the 38-year-old performer of the hit “Do You Know” spoke about the first moments after she came to her senses:
I’m not interested in gossip and assessments of incomprehensible experts, I’d rather stay in the shadows than bright, but with a negative reputation. Indeed, when I first woke up, there were different forecasts, including that I would not be able to walk. But when I woke up in the hospital, I thought: “Lord, I see, I hear, I will hug my children! No matter how I look, how many scars on my body, these are so unimportant things.
As it turned out, even the doctors were surprised by her rapid recovery:
Even doctors note that my appearance does not indicate that I am a former intensive care patient. Apparently, lucky with immunity, with genetics. Inside, I still remain a little green man, because there were a lot of medicines, but outside, it seems like new! My body is recovering at a unique speed, of course, not without the help of doctors. At first, the resuscitator came from the hospital to help me take small walks in the park, – Antenna-Telesem quotes her.
In June 2021, MakSim was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Moscow Clinical Hospital No. 52. For about a month and a half, she was in a state of drug sleep. After illness, MakSim underwent a long rehabilitation. In May of this year, the artist said that on June 17, for the first time after a serious illness, she would give a solo concert on the stage of the Green Theater of VDNKh.
