Patrick Abrahão was arrested in October 2022, accused of running a financial pyramid scheme
the husband of singer Pearl, Patrick Abrahão, 25, spoke for the first time after spending 10 months in detention. The businessman claimed in a video that he was responsible for criminal organization, environmental crimes, abusive management of a financial institution and dissimulation of assets.
This month his arrest was invalidated by the Federal Regional Court of the 3rd region (TRF3). He and his father, Ivonélio Abrahão da Silva, were arrested in October 2022 during the operation The Paper Housefrom the Federal Police, Federal Revenue and the National Mining Agency. The charge involves a transnational financial pyramid scheme in more than 80 countries.
According to Federal PolicePatrick was investigated by crimes against the national financial system, currency evasion, ideological falsehood, money laundering, usurpation of public assets, environmental crime and embezzlement. According to him it was humiliating to be arrested in the same residence as him.
“I figured it was time to wake up at 6 with Federal at my house, search and seizure. I cooperated, got them at my house, showed everything and handed over my telephone sets, all electronics, all passwords brokerage and everything that was needed.When they left, they said they had a warrant for arrest…you can already imagine all that I went through in prison for coming in as a billionaire and hurting so many people . I suffered a lot in there. Naturally the problem was double, because my father was there with me not quite understanding what was happening”.
Patrick says in the video he suffered a lot in prison, but that he is confident he will be acquitted. He also took the opportunity to thank the support of the singer Pearl in this difficult moment of life.
“I’ve always worked with honesty, that’s why I wanted to open my life to Justice. It helped me learn something about some things. I have a very clear conscience because I’ve always been very sincere. Perlla was always with me. People said ‘ your marriage is marketing.’ I think if that were the case she would not have supported me at the time.”
