On the same day, they returned to the capital and attended a reception at the Itamaraty Palace.
On April 24, 1991, Diana traveled to São Paulo, where, among other appointments, she visited a FEBEM unit and picked up an HIV-positive baby. The same day she and her husband left for Rio de Janeiro, where most of the official events were held.
