The record label confirmed the death via a statement posted on the company’s Instagram account.
“It is with deep sadness that we report her death of our brother Lefty SMJuan Carlos Sauceda,” the report says.
“Our affection, love and prayers are with his wife Maria Isabelle and their two daughters,” it added.
” We appreciate your understanding at this difficult time. and all the messages of support and love they’ve given us,” the label continued in a statement.
” To infinity in our memory and our hearts Rest in peace my friend” he concluded.
The company did not delve into details about the cause of death of the artist, who made important collaborations with exponents of the Mexican rap scene such as Santa Fe Clan.
What is known about the alleged murder of Lefty SM
According to media such as López Dóriga Digital and the news program Guardia Nocturna, the rapper died at the gates of his house from an “armed attack” in a private subdivision located in Zapopan, the capital of Jalisco.
Early reports indicated an alleged attempted attack, however, new versions are being reported it was a direct attack.
” At least three armed men entered in the La Cima subdivision, they tracked down the singer’s house and shot him in the abdomen and hip,” detailed López Dóriga Digital.
The alleged events took place this Saturday night, September 2, at around 11pm.
The attack would take place in the presence of the artist’s emotional partner, who was apparently the one who took him to a private hospital where he would be pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made following the incident. The death of the singer, originally from San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, occurred just about 24 hours after he performed a concert at the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City alongside artists such as MC Davo.
Lefty SM’s wife sends heartbreaking message
The rapper’s wife, María Isabel, has already publicly reacted after the revelation of Lefty SM’s death.
“Don’t text me”he wrote on his Facebook account where he appears under the name Eza Mary and with an avatar of a black bow as a sign of mourning.
“I don’t want to hear from anyone”He added: “I’m having a bad dream. Pinch me, love.”
” I want to get up from this nightmareplease,” he concluded without going into more detail about what happened.
It is not clear what her condition is or if she was injured after the alleged attack.
The fitness model also placed a black bow as her avatar on her Instagram account.
