Justice voids Tom Veiga’s will and takes away the widow’s inheritance

The court decided to annul the will of Tom Veiga, interpreter of the character Louro José, who died in 2020. With the decision, Tom’s four children will have 100% of the inheritance, excluding his widow, Cybelle Hermínio da Costa, who according to the will, he would have been entitled to 50% of the estate.

The marriage was over

Tom Veiga and Cybelle had been separated two months before the actor’s death, even if the divorce had not been made official: it should have taken place four days after the death. The actor sent an audio to a friend three days before his death, expressing his intention to withdraw Cybelle from his will. The change, however, was not made in a timely manner.

The reaction of the ex-wife

Alessandra Veiga, Tom’s ex-wife and mother of two of his children, celebrated the court decision in an interview on We Podcast. “Something that suffered a lot, but the children won, that was the testimony of Tom Veiga, our beloved Tom Veiga, my love of all lives. Justice has been done,” she said.

Tom Veiga’s children are considered by Alessandra to be “the true heirs of Tom Veiga”.

Tom Veiga, who died on November 1, 2020 of a stroke caused by an aneurysm, has an estimated net worth of R$ 1 million.
